Job Title: Dance Instructor
The Performing Arts Preparatory School is Southern Maryland's new hub for the next generation of performing artists to hone their skills.Our goal is to guide and prepare the next generation of performing artists by connecting them with skilled, degree-holding instructors with equal performing experience. We want to provide an enriching environment for students born to participate in the arts.

We provide quality training in various musical instruments and dance styles with a focus on styles ranging from classical, jazz, musical theater, R&B, and pop styles.

We are looking to add well-rounded dance instructors who can offer group classes and private lessons.

We are seeking instructors who specialize in the following disciplines:

  • Ballet

  • Tap

  • Contemporary

  • Hip Hop

Qualifications:

- A College Degree and/or equal performance experience

- Thorough knowledge of technique, versatility in training, and age-appropriate choreography.

- Ability to teach multiple disciplines and teaching experience of a minimum of 3 years

- Excellent communication skills and ability to inform students of complex theories in a clear and concise manner

- Availability to teach on weekdays from 4:30 pm-8 pm and Saturdays 11:00 am-6:00 pm

- (Preferably) An instructor looking to bring their practice to a new studio in the Southern Maryland area.

Salary:

$250.00 - $2,500.00 per month

  • Waldorf, MD 20603: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

  • Associate (Required)

  • Bachelors (Encouraged to apply)

Experience:

  • Dancing: 3 years (Required)

  • Teaching: 4 years (Preferred)

  • Performance: 4 years (Required)
